I coach front-line managers in how to select the right person for the team or project, set expectations, manage up and down, and motivate and develop talent in such a way that everyone wants to join your team.

Workshop: “Developing Cultural Intelligence (CQ)”
Rooted in scholarly research and used by organisations like Harvard, Goldman Sachs, BMW and Google, this engaging, practical workshop will help you and your team work and relate across cultures. As a certified facilitator, we’ll review your CQ assessment results, discuss some of the intercultural challenges and opportunities you face, and create an action plan for developing and applying your CQ.
Your company is quite diverse on the surface but you feel they don’t quite “gel” as a team. Work is very transactional and you want a culture of caring and teamwork that will result in better business results.
Or, perhaps you need your experienced leaders to go into new markets where the culture is different. I can equip these leaders with a mental model for diagnosing and responding to intercultural situations day-to-day.

Managing Unconscious Bias
Workshop: “Managing Unconscious Bias”
As a certified facilitator, I will guide you through an interactive workshop designed to equip you to manage bias using cultural intelligence. We cannot prevent unconscious bias from being activated in our thinking. But we can be intentional in managing the application of bias in our decisions and behaviour. Participants will explore their individual biases as well as the systematic bias present in common organisational practices, processes and policies. Research-based applications are embedded throughout. Participants will leave the workshop with culturally intelligent strategies for disrupting bias in their individual lives and organisations.

I’ll help you integrate cultural intelligence (CQ) across your organisation by determining the pathway for developing CQ in individuals and teams. Deliberate strategies will ensure that you have a coherent process for supporting the behaviour change needed in each of the phases of your company’s overall CQ strategy.
You understand the potential benefit of a diverse workforce but realise that it’s not automatic and could be a weakness. Your multicultural teams are less effective, and you see an opportunity for cost-savings and increased profitability.
You struggle to attract and retain talent from diverse backgrounds.
You regularly send your most talented people on international assignments to establish or grow new markets, but it takes very long for them to get settled in a new environment.

I find that generally, companies get the most benefit and the most staying power when I come alongside them on an ongoing monthly basis for an initial 6-month period. That said, various aspects of what I offer can be implemented on a project basis, as well as at a daily rate with on-site facilitation.
